Deserted diggings. Spring Creek

In 1857, Fauchery returned to Melbourne. He established himself as a photographer in Collins Street, and soon embarked upon a collaboration with geologist, Richard Daintree. Together, they produced a series of beautiful, high-quality images which were marketed as the 'Sun Pictures of Victoria'.
