Gold Buyer, Forest Creek

Shows a tent-store keeper buying gold from two diggers. Shop-keeping on the goldfields was often more profitable than gold-digging. This merchant, with his striped silk waistcoat, gold watch-chain and jewelled shirt-pin, is obviously doing well.
