A Selector’s hut in Gippsland
This scene depicts Mr. Stocks, the selector of this allotment, sitting outside his hut in a remote part of Croajingalong, Gippsland. His hut is made of bark roofing, sapling branches and wooden slabs, or planks - according to annotations on the reverse of this photograph, no nails were used in its construction.
