Agricultural chemicals

The 20th century saw an enormous increase in the use of manufactured chemicals such as herbicides, insecticides, fertilisers as well as drenches and dips for livestock.  Today, agricultural scientists also work at the genetic level to improve crop yields and resistance to disease. This photograph was taken at the Kerang Agricultural Research Farm.
