Soldiers, Hethersett Private Repatriation Hospital, Burwood, Vic.

Many soldiers returning from the war had to recover from physical and psychological injuries, and spent time in repatriation hospitals like this.  The man in the centre is unselfconscious about his missing leg, and is happy to prop his croquet mallet on the stump.
