Royal Commission on soldier settlement

Report of the Royal Commission on Soldier Settlement : together with appendices.

Melbourne : H.J. Green, Govt. Printer, 1925.

Many young men returned from the war seeking jobs and trades.  For some of them, the Government's answer was to settle them on small blocks of agricultural land.  However, many of the blocks were too small, or the land was too poor to be profitable.  Not all the men who settled were cut out to be farmers.
