Image study: Stage coach laden with luggage and many Chinese people en route to the gold fields

Chinese miners specialized in working over the soil that had already been discarded by other miners ('mullock heaps'). These miners are all wearing western style hats, while there is a large cargo of wide woven-bamboo hats attached to the back of the coach.
