Monthly List of persons who have taken out licenses to depasture stock, to strip bark, and to cut timber on crown lands, in the District of Port Phillip

This Government notice appeared in The Argus newspaper, announcing that Anne Drysdale and Caroline Newcombe were amongst the many people  that were issued with licences to exploit crown lands in the county of Grant. 

Bark was both exported, and used within Port Phillip District, for the purpose of tanning leather and house construction.
