Image study: Ned Kelly at bay
Here Ned is depicted with his arms in his coat sleeves. However, when Carrington sketched this image, he was 100 metres away from Ned and couldn't see that Ned's coat was actually slung over his shoulders. Carrington corrected his mistake the following week, when he sketched The dance at the Glenrowan inn.
