Committal of a surgeon at an inquest & Accident on the Wet Lead

Conditions on the goldfields were dangerous, and the propensity for heavy drinking resulted in frequent accidents, fights and health problems.  This newspaper article reveals that those in need of medical attention could not always rely on professional service from a doctor, if, indeed, they were lucky enough to locate one.
