Lettres d’un mineur en Australie par Antoine Fauchery

Antoine Fauchery wrote one of the best Victorian goldfield accounts.  As indicated by the bookplate, he donated this first edition copy of his work to the Melbourne Public Library, later to become the State Library of Victoria.

The Library also holds two copies of a 1965 translation of this work by A.R. Chisholm, Letters from a miner in Australia.
