The Sunshine harvester
The entrepeneurial and inventive Hugh McKay revolutioned farming practices across the world with equipment that was manufactured by his company, The Sunshine Harvester Works. The new machinery greatly improved efficiencies - farms increased in size, the diversity of crops increased and marginal land became workable, thus leading to the development of broadacre farming.
