Image study: Dance at the Glenrowan Inn

When the dance was taking place, Carrington hadn't yet arrived in Glenrowan. However, he drew this image a week after the siege, which gave him time to speak to police and get the most factual account of events. Ned is depicted wearing the cloth cap that protected his head from the weight of his helmet, and with his coat over his shoulders, in light of Carrington's discovery that this was how Ned wore his coat.
